Become a Hospital Assessor for Medway Maritime07-Mar-2018
Medway Maritime Hospital are continuing their on-going work towards the standards of the care they provide and the environment they provide it in, and they would like your help.
At Medway Maritime Hospital they know the importance of caring for every patient with compassion and dignity, in a clean and safe environment.
To help them improve and maintain the standards of the care they provide, as well as the environment they provide it in, the hospital are looking for volunteers to sign up to become PLACE Assessors.
Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) is a national system that is used to measure the quality of hospital environments. This involves members of the community visiting hospital wards to carry out assessments.
The views and opinions of a PLACE Assessor would then be fed directly into Trust plans to improve services and their overall care environment.
The hospital says this is a unique opportunity for people to become a hospital assessor; and they encourage any user of the hospital, whether past or present, to take part; applicants only need to commit for two days along with one half day of training.
Assessors would likely to be needed before the end of June 2018; and refreshments and parking will be provided on all days.
