Brexit and Medway Voluntary and Community Sector - Your Views

The week of Christmas this year will mark 100 days until Brexit.

Amidst the fury of national debate and rhetoric around Brexit that we are bombarded with daily, it is easy for us to lose sight of the fact that Medway’s voluntary and community sector is likely to be sharing common challenges, concerns and opportunities as a result of Brexit.

Recent reports give key messages such as:
‘There is a high risk charities will be left with all of the costs of Brexit and with none of the opportunities that could be created through the Brexit process.’ (Source: The Charity Finance Group: Cost Benefit Analysis of Brexit for charities)

‘Whatever your personal beliefs, the reality facing the UK is that there is change ahead, and we need to be ready for it.’(Source: NCVO: Brexit and the Voluntary Sector, Preparing for Change)

So how is your group or organisation feeling about Brexit and the impact it might have on the work you do in Medway? For instance, have you been thinking about how it might affect your beneficiaries, workforce, funding or regulations? Are your issues unique to you, or could other groups and organisations be facing them?

To help us shape the support we provide to the sector in response to Brexit, and to enable us to widely share our collective views, concerns and opportunities to stakeholders in Medway, please can you give us a few moments of your time to complete our short online survey?

To help gather your views quickly, we are only opening the survey for 21 days and it will close on Tuesday 11th December – so please click here to complete our short online survey and we will come back to everyone with a summary and plan of action soon after the survey closing date.
