Children and Young People Suicide Prevention Training – 2018/1926-Nov-2018
Kent Safeguarding Children Board (KSCB) will be running a series of workshops designed to provide mental health and suicide prevention training.
Every suicide is a tragic event which has a devastating impact on the friends and family of the victim, and can be felt across the whole community.
While the events and circumstances leading to each suicide will be different, there are a number of areas where action can be taken to help prevent loss of life.
Starting in December 2018, and delivered in partnership with West Kent Mind, these FREE workshops from KSCB are suitable for anyone working, volunteering or caring for children and young people.
With venues all across Kent, including Tonbridge and Malling, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Whitstable and Swale, Canterbury and Ashford, Dover, Folkestone and Hythe, Gravesham and Medway; interested parties are advised there are no entry requirements to qualify for any of the courses, but places are filling quickly.
At the time of writing, it is understood that a suicide prevention e-learning module is currently in development, which will be another option for available training in the future.
