Digital Wellbeing – A Practical Guide for Parents from Childnet

09-Jan-2019

National charity Childnet have recently released guidance for parents about the impact that the online world can have on the lives of children and young people.

Overall wellbeing is determined by the physical and emotional experiences an individual gains on a daily basis.

Technology continues to be such a part of our lives; from the way we represent who we are, through to the interactions we have with others, it all has an effect on our wellbeing: This can be referred to as your 'digital wellbeing' or 'online wellness.'

In collaboration with a series of national and international partners, Childnet work to make the internet a better place for children and young people; their aim is to work in partnership with others around the world to help make the internet a great and safe place for children.

Created as part of Childnet’s work in the UK Safer Internet Centre, the newly published hot topic looks at Digital Wellbeing, giving guidance to parents about the impact that the online world can have on the lives of children and young people.

More details are available on the Childnet website.
