Disability Grants from Family Fund Trust

The Family Fund Trust continues its call for applications to help families in the UK who care for severely disabled young people.

The Family Fund Trust is the UK’s largest charity that provides grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people. It was reported in 2016 they provided 88,119 grants or services worth over £33 million to families across the UK.

The Trust is offering grants to help families in the UK who care for severely disabled young people up to the age of 17.

To be eligible, The Trust ask that the receiver of the funding must have additional complex needs, or have a serious or life-threatening illness; there must be evidence that the child’s additional needs impact on the family’s choices and their opportunity to enjoy ordinary life.

The Fund gives awards for a wide range of activities, services and products, to enable families to enjoy everyday life.

Because the scheme can be seen as a continuous rolling programme, there is no deadline and so applications can be accepted at any time.

For more information and how to apply, visit the Family Fund Trust website.
