Get involved with Kent and Medway’s Patient and Public Advisory Group - Summer 2018

The Kent and Medway Sustainability and Transformation Partnership have recently announced they are recruiting additional members of the public onto their Patient and Public Advisory Group.

The Patient and Public Advisory Group (PPAG) is part of the formal authority structure for the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership in Kent and Medway.

The Group is just one part of the engagement and involvement work to make sure the views, the opinions and the needs of patients and the public are heard in the development of more detailed plans for health and social care in the Kent and Medway area.

The Advisory Group meet once a month to discuss services that are commissioned, providing the Partnership with their feedback on the programme itself.

They also offer advice and suggestions on the communication and engagement supporting the Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).

By sharing experiences, the members contribute to the development of services that are high quality, safe and meet the needs of local community.

The KMSTP is currently looking for five new members to join the group and particularly want to encourage people from diverse or seldom-heard communities to apply.

The Partnership is asking for someone from each of the following boroughs:

  • Canterbury
  • Dover
  • Gravesham
  • Swale
  • Thanet.

To strengthen the diversity of the group’s membership, The Partnership is especially interested in hearing from and welcome applications from:

  • People from ethnic minorities
  • People with disabilities
  • Young people.

The deadline for applications is 3 September 2018.

All the relevant information, including the application form, can be found on the Partnership website.

Once completed, the KMSTP ask that applications be sent to Claire Lloyd-Cowtan, Programme Administrator for The Partnership, by email at

Applications can also be sent by post to:
