Let the colours run - The KM Colour Run 201710-May-2017
The 2017 KM Colour Run, a colourful charity event, which fuses fun, fitness, and fundraising, has recently been launched.
The KM Colour Run is an annual event that sees participants walking, jogging or running 5K for a charity of their choice while getting covered in multi-coloured corn starch.
The run is open to all ages, and all abilities, with the event being a favourite with families.
This is a fundraising event, and you can raise funds for any charity of your choice by going to the KM Charity online booking link.
Any sponsorship raised will be split 70-30 between your chosen charity and the children’s road safety service at the KM Charity Team.
There will be a special sponsor form enclosed in your event pack which would be sent to you by email when you book.
Under 16’s do not need to raise sponsorship money.
If you would like to take part without running, you can also sign up as a Colour Bandit and can purchase additional bags of coloured powder on the day and join in the fun of the event by throwing it over participants.
The last event attracted 600 runners who raised £25k for 66 good causes.
KM Charity advises that if people taking part need suggestions of good causes to sponsor, they suggest picking out of selection from the 2016 KM Charity of the Year.
Standard entry fee is £20 for adults or just £15 for children.
Every runner taking part will receive a souvenir T-shirt and sunglasses as well as a commemorative medal.
The 2017 event will take place on Sunday 11th June 2017 at Betteshanger Park, Deal.
