Medicine Research Open Day Event from Medway School of Pharmacy

24-May-2017

The Medway School of Pharmacy will be hosting an Open Day Event this coming in June for the people of Medway and beyond to learn about their research on using medicines.

The Medway School of Pharmacy (MSP) is a working partnership between the University of Greenwich and University of Kent. Every year they train over 150 pharmacists, many of whom go on to work locally.

They offer various related degrees and postgraduate courses, and their research puts them within the top schools of pharmacy and pharmacology in the UK.

The School advise that people in England are using more regular medicines every year, with many people finding some aspects of using regular long term medicines difficult.

They have studied the types of challenges that people experience locally and nationally, and recommend their research should be of interest not only to anyone using long-term medicines, but also their carers, health professionals and patient support groups.

Do you use regular medicines?

Do you help someone else to use medicines?

Do you want to share your experiences and find out about other peoples’ experiences of using medicines?

The Open Day takes place in the Church Lecture Theatre at Historic Dockyard, Chatham Maritime on June 6th 2017 between 10 am and Midday. Refreshments will be available, as well as Attendance Certificates on request.

Find out more, or book a place for this FREE event, you can contact Rebecca Brown by email at r.brown-549@kent.ac.uk .
