Medway CCG invites you to discuss the proposals for changes to urgent stroke services.

13-Feb-2018

Medway Clinical Commissioning Group are inviting you to a meeting to discuss the proposals for changes to urgent stroke services in Kent and Medway. There are two listening events taking place in Medway:

Monday 5th March, 14:00 - 16:00

Rochester Baptist Hall

The Moat House, 8 Crow Lane

Rochester ME11RF

Tuesday 20th March, 18:30 – 20:30

Kent Ramgarhiadarbur & Community Centre

63 Franklin Road

Gillingham ME7 4DG

The NHS is asking for people’s views on proposals to establish new 24/7 hyper acute stroke units and a full consultation is running until 13th April. These listening events are an opportunity to find out more about how the proposals were developed, about what the options would mean, and to share your views with NHS leaders. Discussions from the listening events will be used to inform the next stage of the decision making process.

The consultation document and questionnaire, some frequently asked questions, as well as detailed supporting documents about the information considered in developing the proposals, is available at www.kentandmedway.nhs.uk/stroke. There is also information about other listening events happening across Swale, Dartford and other parts of Kent.

You can register your attendance at one of the events at https://kentandmedway.nhs.uk/stroke-consultation-listening-events/

Please pass this invitation on to your colleagues and friends – it is important that we hear from patients, families, local communities, staff and clinicians to inform our decision about the future shape of urgent stroke services in Kent and Medway later this year.

If you have any questions about the consultation please contact km.stroke@nhs.net.
