Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Fund

21-Apr-2017

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation continues their call for applications for their recently launched Youth Fund, designed for organisations within the youth sector and outside.

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Fund provides help to organisations whose main purpose is helping young people (aged 14-25) in less fortunate positions, where making the move across to adult independence is most challenging, and those who are most vulnerable.

Based on the Foundations mission to improve opportunities and life chances for young people, the Fund supports organisations which work with young people in a way that recognises and builds on their strengths and potential.

Grants of between £10,000 and £60,000 are available for not-for-profit organisations working in the youth sector and with young people to become better prepared for achieving more.

The fund is looking to help young people in most vulnerable positions. This includes young people in the following circumstances:

  • Poverty and lack of income
  • Unemployment or poor employment prospects
  • Discrimination, for example on the basis of race or ethnicity, gender, sexuality or religion
  • Experience of abuse, victimisation or exploitation
  • Homelessness
  • Trouble with the law

The Funding can be used for items such as salaries, upgrading IT systems, staff training, running costs; and to help with application, you can access PDF versions of the application form.

The Foundation advises that this is for guidance only, and that you must submit your application via their online application process.

The scheme is a continuous rolling programme, so there is no deadline and applications can be accepted at any time; but it is advised you to hand in your application at the earliest point when it is ready.

For more information , and how to apply, visit the Paul Hamlyn website.
