Sheds Kent and Medway Open Day - June 2017

You are cordially invited to the open day for Sheds Kent and Medway at Fort Luton this coming June.

A Shed project is a network of relationships between local people, who can come together to work alongside each other.

Originally designed at men of all ages and ex-service personnel, it is also open to all; a shed project offers those engaged in the project the opportunity to socialise, find friendship, share and learn skills, support each other and their communities.

Groups can come together in many ways. It could be allotments, furniture restoration, repair shops, outdoor leisure activities; literally any activity that would improve your wellbeing.

Sheds Kent & Medway Programme is an exciting new opportunity that has come to Groundwork South; these schemes have been known to have a positive impact on wellbeing when people come together and take part in shared interests or hobbies.

Sheds Kent & Medway Partnership are looking to support 10 sheds across Kent and Medway, by offering grants and support from their mentors, who will help with the process of setting up and continuing into the future.

Do you already have an idea? Would you like to help others come together and form a shed?

The event is being held at Fort Luton, Magpie Hall Road, next to Victory Academy, between 11am and 2pm on 1st June 2017.

This event will give you the opportunity to speak to them about your ideas and get further information about Sheds Kent & Medway.

To take part in the FREE event, visit Eventbrite to book your place.
