Supporting Charitable Work that Benefits Women – Woman to Woman from Rosa

28-Jun-2017

Rosa, the UK Fund for Women and Girls, is inviting applications from across the UK for the second round of its Woman to Woman Fund.

Rosa's Woman to Woman Fund is offering grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 to local grassroots women’s organisations with an income of less than £100,000.

The funding is for proposals that attend to the critical needs of women and girls who miss out the most, this can include: marginalised populations, women from minority or ethnic background; lesbian, bisexual or transgender women and girls; women and girls with disabilities, older women, homeless women, survivors of gender violence; women in prison and ex-offenders; and other underserved and disadvantaged groups of women.

Rosa say the funding can is also be used for proposals that work and Function in less economically resilient towns, cities and rural areas within the UK.

The work must fit into one of Rosa’s four pillars which support the issues facing women and girls today:

  • Leadership and representation
  • Safety
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Economic justice

Rosa are particularly interested in hearing from support groups that work with disadvantaged communities or in less fortunate areas within the UK.

Opened in recently, the deadline for applications for their Woman to Woman programme is July 6th 2017.

For more information, and how to apply, visit the Rosa website.
