TABLO Conference - June 201812-Feb-2018
The Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust invite you to the TABLO Conference Being held at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge in June 2018.
It is well documented that there are many benefits to using the arts for patients with long term conditions. Now Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) are looking to give carers and patients alike the opportunity to have access to a toolkit with over 400 activities to help bring the arts into their support provision - to benefit people who have long term conditions.
The TABLO Project (Training staff in the use of Arts for the Benefit of patients with Long-Term Conditions) is co funded by the European Union with support from the European Commission.
It has brought together Health professionals and representatives from seven other countries to develop an e-learning toolkit of vocational training to help carers and individuals bring the arts into every day physical and mental healthcare, which KMPT say can benefit people who have long term conditions.
The toolkit will be launched at TABLO Conference in June 2018, where attendees can listen to those involved in the project and highlights of some of the dedicated work that has gone into making this project a reality.
At the time of writing, confirmed speakers who will be attending include Professor Dame Donna Kinnair, Director of Nursing from the Royal College of Nursing (RCN); and Ben Saul, Chair of Trustees for the British Association of Music Therapy (BAMT).
Carers, patients, health professionals; anyone interested in therapeutic activities or long term care is welcome to attend this FREE event.
The Conference is being held at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge in The Precincts, Canterbury, Kent on Thursday 21st June 21 2018, from 9.00am till 4.30pm.
