The Digital Fund from Big Lottery

Applications are still being taken by the Big Lottery for their newly launched Digital Fund, aimed at offering dedicated digital funding support to the sector.

Using money raised by National Lottery, The Big Lottery Fund works to help communities achieve their ambitions. From small, local projects to UK-wide initiatives, the intention of their funding is to bring people together to make a difference to the community’s health, wellbeing and environment.

Launched recently, The Digital Fund from Big Lottery is a UK wide £15 million funding programme to support charities and community organisations. Big Lottery say it is about helping the charity and voluntary sector to use digital tools and approaches to support people and communities to thrive.

There are two different strands of funding within the programme:

  • “Digital Pioneers” - Using digital to change your work: Grants of up to £500,000 and a tailored support package are available to help established organisations use digital to take a major leap forward.
  • “Digital Natives” - Using established digital to scale your impact: Grants of up to £500,000 for newer organisations that have already launched promising services that use digital to achieve scale or impact.

Registered charities, social enterprises, community interest companies and similar groups or organisations are eligible to apply.

The deadline for applications is Monday 3rd December 2018.
