To Counter Hatred and Prejudice – Government Relaunches Community Projects Funding Programme

The Home Office has recently reopened fund round to help communities tackle hate crime.

Hate crimes are crimes that are motivated by hostility on the grounds of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity.

As part of the Government’s Hate Crime Action Plan, the Home Office’s Hate Crime Community Projects Fund is looking to offer up to £75,000 to affected communities to fund the development of projects that:

  • Prevent hate crime
  • Respond to hate crime in our communities
  • Increase the reporting of hate crime
  • Improve support for the victims of hate crime
  • Build our understanding of hate crime

The deadline for applications is midnight on Friday 7th December 2018, with further dates proposed to be announced later.
