Vacancy - Volunteer Coordinator at wHoo Cares

09-Oct-2017

Applications are currently being taken for the position of a Volunteer Coordinator at Hoo Peninsula Cares CIC.

Also known as wHoo Cares, Hoo Peninsula Cares CIC is a community interest company created to support individuals on the Hoo Peninsula. They know that everyone is unique and they appreciate that from time to time we all need a bit of extra help to manage the challenges we face.

They are looking for a dynamic and people-focused Volunteer Coordinator for wHoo Cares. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing volunteers from the local communities as well as building strong working relationships within these communities.

Based at their offices over at Isle of Grain, but travelling around the Hoo Peninsula and occasionally to other areas of Medway, you will use your experience and knowledge to recognise and match up the skills best required to meet the needs of individuals or groups within the wHoo Cares' programme and create a development plan based on those needs.

Working alongside the Community Life Planning Coordinator, you would also make sure that their clients are being supported by volunteers with similar interests or suitable skill set to meet the needs of a given client.

You would be part of a small, but innovative team; making real, positive changes in people’s lives.

This would be a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to vulnerable people living on the Hoo Peninsula and help reduce social isolation and loneliness by supporting individuals to engage in their community,

The deadline for applications is Midday on Monday 16th October 2017.

For further information and to download an application, you can visit the wHoo Cares website, or you can contact Christine Chetwood, the Manager of wHoo Cares, on 01634 272138, or by email at christine@whoocares.org.uk.
