Vacancy - Wellbeing Support Worker at West Kent Mind

29-Aug-2017

Applications are currently being accepted for a new Wellbeing Support Worker role at West Kent Mind.

As part of the MIND mental health charity, West Kent Mind makes sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support.

They do a variety of work to support mental health and wellbeing in and around the West Kent area. They offer counselling, supported housing, wellbeing activities and groups, workshops, training and more.

They now have a new opportunity to join their dynamic and motivated team as a Wellbeing Support Worker.

Based at Ashford and answering to the Wellbeing Support Manager, you will be developing and delivering high quality wellbeing services for people with a wide range mental health needs, as well as and supporting the wellbeing of the community as a whole.

As well as carrying out triage and risk assessments to make sure the most appropriate services are offered to match client needs and goals, and including onward referral to other community services and opportunities; your other duties would include creation and development of constructive partnerships with a range of stakeholders to grow the range of choice for clients and to develop new service options with partner agencies.

You would be an ambassador for West Kent Mind; by raising awareness of the services on offer, promoting community involvement and supporters, as well as contributing to the work of the Community Development team

Do you want an interesting and varied job, working for a forward thinking charity passionate about its mission?

This would be a rewarding role for someone with excellent communication and people skills, a strong commitment to the aims and values of West Kent Mind, and a desire to make a positive difference through their work.

West Kent Mind says interested parties can download the application form in either PDF; or in Word format, where applicants enter data directly into the document.

The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 4th September 2017.
