Volunteers to support Day Trips

Day trips are a really popular service offered by Age UK Medway, with support from a member of staff and volunteers older people have the chance to go out for the day. These trips can range from Pub Lunches, local events, and trips to the seaside to Theater trips and full day boat trips, but we need people like you to help us.

Counsellor

We are a drama school looking after 13 students. Some of learners have mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. It would be fantastic if we could have a professional counsellor drop in who can guide and advise them on how to cope and manage their condition effectively. Medway Health Walk Leader

We are in need for Walk Leaders/Walk Assistants to lead on our health walks throughout Medway as part of the national Walking for Health scheme. We have 25 walks throughout Medway Monday to Friday in the mornings. We are in need of Leaders to take on some of our existing walks and to also start up new walks.

BELIVE trustee volunteer

BELIVE is an independent befriending service for local people with a mild-moderate learning disability; as a trustee you will be working as part of a team to shape BELIVE's future. You will be required to attend trustee meetings as/when required, training as/when required. Opportunity to undertake trustee tasks i.e. fund raising, minute taking, contribute at meetings and network with others. BELIVE befriending volunteer

To provide a person-centred befriending service for local people with a learning disability in Medway. To promote a sense of belonging, improve self-esteem, confidence, identity, wellbeing, and for the relief of isolation, poor mental health and, loneliness. Kitchen helper

Helping to prepare a buffet lunch and provide tea/coffee and drinks to adults and children attending a Holding On Letting Go bereavement support weekend in their lunch and break times.
