Becoming a school governor is a fantastic way to support your local school and help shape the future of education. Governors work as part of a team to guide the school’s strategic direction, support leadership, and ensure pupils receive the best possible education.

You don’t need to be an expert in education, just someone who cares about children’s learning and wants to make a difference.

• Time commitment: Around 6–10 hours per month, including meetings and school visits.
• Support provided: Full training and ongoing guidance.
• Who can apply: Anyone over 18 with a passion for education and a willingness to learn.
