Being a trusted adult for a child in care, meeting up with them on a regular basis (monthly or more) and being someone they can talk to, share their hopes and dreams with, and independent of the social work professionals in their lives. Once ‘matched’ the friendship can continue as long as you both want but supported by Hounslow Allies until they reach 19! Although the service is delivered for the London Borough of Hounslow, children and young people in their care, they live locally. Please see the link for more information.
