The TalkInfo target audience are people who are blind, partially sighted or are not able to independently access the printed word. The free fortnightly audio service can be accessed via Telephone, Alexa or British Wireless for the Blind Fund App.
The service is a mixture of information and entertainment both locally and nationally. It includes national and local information relating to the listener but also includes local general news.
We are looking for a local volunteer coordinator who is willing to promote the TalkInfo service. It is anticipated that the role will involve on average a half day a week.
To encourage some more local volunteers to be part of the present small local team & also help increase the number of listeners via talks, leaflets and word of mouth. The national information is already created by a national team, but the main stay of the regular recordings is the local information.
