To Access more Opportunities across a Range of Sectors – The Volunteering Futures Fund, November 2021

The Government has launched a time-limited fund, designed to help more people access volunteering opportunities across a range of sectors.

Launched by The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and Managed by The National Lottery’s Arts Council (ACE), The Volunteering Futures Fund will focus on helping young people, those experiencing loneliness, those with disabilities and those from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Aimed at creating more and better volunteering opportunities for people, The Council advise the scheme is designed to allow people to get involved in volunteering activities across the various community settings including the arts, heritage, museums, libraries, sport and physical activity and youth.

It is especially intended to help those who:
  • experience loneliness
  • experience barriers to volunteering
  • are in areas where there are fewer volunteering opportunities
To apply, The Arts Council advises the applicant’s project needs to be for £100,001 or over, and that the total amount available for this time-limited priority is £4.7 million.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 7th December 2021.
