Are you ready for the Windows 10 'End of Life' support?
The 14th of October deadline to upgrade or replace any Windows 10 devices in your IT estate is fast approaching. This poses significant challenges for organisations, including rising security risks and compliance concerns as your operating system falls further out of date, versus the daunting cost of hardware replacement.
There is Good News Though
As part of their social regeneration plans (which includes the use of technology) Medway & Swale Health & Care Partnership (MSHCP) are exploring potential support opportunities for the sector to make this transition, however they first need to establish the demand/need locally for this sort of project.
With this in mind they are currently liaising with an organisation named Getech about using ChromeOS Flex which can be installed into existing laptops, PCs and tablets, transforming them into fast, secure devices that can be deployed quickly and are simple to manage from anywhere, at scale.
Getech, are an Authorised Premier Partner for Google in the UK and Ireland, and have funding available to support these transitions.
Key Benefits of ChromeOS Flex
• Enhanced Security: Protect sensitive data with Google's robust security architecture.
• Improved Efficiency: Empower staff with a fast, intuitive OS.
• Reduced Costs: Extend device lifespan and minimise IT management burden.
• Seamless Transition: Easily migrate to a modern, cloud-first computing environment.
In partnership with Google, Getech are looking to support the sector with this upgrade from Windows devices to Chrome software for £30 per device (a minimum of 50 devices).
As mentioned above MSHCP are also keen to support and have put together a short poll with 4 questions to assess the need locally to transitions, capacity to do and understand levels of awareness about the change.
