The
Armed Forces Covenant Fund continues their work to offer funding and support to UK projects that serve the armed forces community.
The
Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust is a UK charity sponsored by the Ministry of Defence that distributes grants each year to support armed forces communities.
Reveal and Respond
The Trust’s
Reveal and Respond programme provides grants to help organisations improve mental health and wellbeing support for underrepresented groups in the armed forces community.
The Programme aims to fund projects that find out why certain people struggle to get mental health support; and looks to create tailored and custom solutions.
Intended to help specific groups including female personnel, LGBTQ+ staff, ethnic minority members, service children with special educational needs, or bereaved families, the funding is available for registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and local authorities in the UK.
With the Trust advising projects must involve a partnership between armed forces groups and specialised non-military groups, applicants can choose from two funding pathways:
- Strand 1 (Test and Develop): Grants for two-year pilot projects to test new ideas
- Strand 2 (Scale and Strengthen): Larger grants for projects lasting two to three years that want to grow proven work
The deadline for applications is midday on 28th October 2026.
Family Focus
The Trust’s
Family Focus programme provides grants to organisations that support military families dealing with illness, injury, or care needs.
The Programme gives money to charities, local groups, and public bodies to run support projects; it is also intended to help families, focusing on family members and carers of serving personnel and veterans who are sick or wounded.
The Programme is also aiming to improve wellbeing, aiming to boost resilience, mental health, and access to daily support.
The Trust say the Programme can offer this via
In-Service Support, to Help families while a person is still serving in the military; or to
Move on from Service Life to help families shift out of the military or adjust to later life in civilian communities.
The Trust advise the funding is available for projects designed to run for two to three years; and that organisations including registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), local authorities, and NHS groups are all eligible to apply.
The deadline for applications is midday on 4th November 2026.
