Connecting local Charities with Businesses who Care – The Matchmaking service from A Good Thing, February 2022

The Matchmaking service app from A Good Thing CIC is designed to make it easier and quicker for local businesses or firms to channel supplies and excess resource to local charities and similar groups.

The company say that it’s not unheard of for businesses to donate items to charity, and when it does happen it can work brilliantly. They also say this was why they created the app and add “..it’s as easy as booking a room on Airbnb: a business makes an offer, local charities make a request, and a match is made..”

The app is a digital ‘matchmaking platform’ which aims to link charities up with local businesses that have things to donate.

This can include surplus equipment, products, and spaces. A Good Thing say all that any charity or business need to do is sign up to the free app on their website and make a request for the things they need.
