Ideas Test recently announced the third and final year of the Make Waves Creative Career Training Programme is now open to applications from all young people who might be interested in taking part.

Designed for 18–25-year-olds in Medway, the Making Waves Programme from Ideas Test is for young people who want to gain the skills, networks, and confidence to turn their ideas into reality and kickstart their creative career.

Ideas Test say through skills-based workshops, go-sees, PAID work experience, mentoring, and a budget to produce a personal project, they support local young people to pursue their dream creative careers.

The organisers say Make Waves will also provide each young person with:
  • 30 days paid work at £100 a day to give them hands-on experience in the creative industry
  • A £500 budget to plan and organise their own project or event & showcase everything they’ve learnt
  • A £200 personal development budget
  • A travel and access bursary
Ideas Test have confirmed that most of the participants had secured paid work in the creative industries within 3 months of completing their programme, and ALL those who took part have said that Make Waves helped them learn new skills to launch their creative career.

The application deadline is midday on Monday 8th April 2024.

Ideas Test will also be hosting an online Information Session via Zoom on Tuesday 26th March from 4pm-5pm, and is available for anyone wanting to know more about the programme, provides a chance to meet the team and ask any questions ahead of applying.
