Does your Charity or Community Group need a Boost in Income?

MVA manages a Joy Seed Funding programme which provides a £5K one off lump sum to Charities, CIC, CIO or community groups that wish to provide social prescription services.

What is Joy Marketplace?

Joy Marketplace is a digital platform designed to streamline connections between the community and care sectors. It helps GP’s and primary care networks collaborate with social prescribers to make referrals to VCSEF organisations in Medway.

How Does it Work?

1. List Your Service: Add your charity, CIC, or CIO to Joy Marketplace.
2. Receive Payments: Get a one-off £40 payment for signing up with a referral pathway.
3. Earn more with Referrals: For every referral accepted, you receive £30*.
4. Apply for Seed Funding: Secure up to £5,000 to provide more social prescribing places**.

The even better news is that they are also extending the £40 sign up bonus offer until the 30th of December for new services joining Joy.

• For the Seed Funding element of the Joy programme you will need:
  
  To be a Charity, CIC, CIO or Community Group providing services in Medway and Swale up to the Teynham boundary line.

• To demonstrate a Gap in provision by either-
  • Starting up a new service.
  • Provide additional capacity to an oversubscribed service.
  • Starting up an existing service but in a different location.
• Provide details of how many social prescription places will be available.
• To be able to accept referrals from a social prescriber.
• Provide evidence that there is a Gap including a testimony from a social prescriber.

When do you need to apply for Seed Funding by:

• Applications made before 28^th February 2025 will be considered.
