Food Friends - New Community Food Initiative in Medway

Food Friends work to combat loneliness and isolation in communities through food and friendship.

Our meal-sharing initiative connects volunteers - who are looking to share extra portions of home cooked food - with a neighbour - who would benefit from a nutritious meal delivered with company and conversation.

We also offer volunteering opportunities as our volunteer cooks, armed with saucepans and a little bit of spare time, have shared over 8,500 meals so far across the Canterbury, Ashford, Swale, and most recently Medway, districts.

So if you are aware of anyone that would benefit from receiving meals through our initiative, you can refer them to us using the link below – we have a drop-down box for each geographical area we operate in, we have professional and community referral form within those. We are also on the Joy App.
