For Ideas moving Communities Forward - The Aviva Community Fund, Spring 2022

National organisation Aviva have relaunched their call for applications from charities and community projects which are designed to take climate action or promote financial wellbeing.

The Aviva Community Fund has teamed up with Crowdfunder to give UK charities and community interest companies support in forward-thinking causes that help push communities forward.

Aviva employees will be able to view projects and between them will share out £250,000 of funding, and each charity can apply for funding of up to £50,000 and Aviva employees will decide how the funding is distributed.

This year, Aviva want to support UK-based projects that enhance or improve upon the resilience of communities in the face of uncertainty, and say they are looking to support projects in two chosen priority areas:

Climate Action
Projects that promote healthy, thriving communities by preventing, preparing for, and protecting against the impacts of climate change.

Financial Wellbeing
Enterprises or projects which help people to take control of their wellbeing by giving them the tools to be more financially resilient and independent.

Aviva say they especially welcome projects looking to raise funds to develop a new approach, new product (or technology), pilot a new scheme, put new initiatives in place, or expand existing services to a new area or beneficiary group.

Launched at the time of writing, Aviva say applications for this round of funding will be open till midnight on Wednesday 20th April 2022, with more dates to follow in the year.

More information and how to apply is available at Aviva's dedicated website.
