For Projects that Help the Less Fortunate - Improving Lives Programme from Henry Smith Charity, Spring 2022

The Henry Smith Charity continue their call for applications and offer funding that will help projects that improve upon the lives of less fortunate people or those in greatest need.

The Henry Smith Charity work to bring about change to people’s lives, to help them to benefit from and to help them contribute to society. They do this through offering funding to organisations that work with people to reduce economic or social disadvantage.

Provided through the Henry Smith Charity Improving Lives Programme, the funder says eligible organisations include charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK with a turnover of £20,000 - £500,000 - This eligibility includes social enterprises.

Grants of up to £60,000 per year for up to three years are available to charitable organisations that help people at times of crisis in their lives.

The funding is mainly available when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available.

The programme can be seen as a continuous rolling programme, as the funder says applications can be submitted at any time and decisions are usually made within 6 months.

More information and how to apply can be found at the Henry Smith Charity website.
