This month MVA brings you a collection of funding rounds from local and national organisations focusing on children and youth themes aimed at helping charities continue their work.
Kent Community Foundation - Priority Areas Route (Children, Young People & Families)
Continuing its work through their rebranded Themed Funding programmes,
Kent Community Foundation (KCF) awards grants to not-for-profit organisations and registered charities.
The
Priority Areas Route forms part of the
various funding programs the Foundation has to offer interested parties.
Grants are available for projects that are making a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Kent and Medway.
Details of the different funding priorities deadlines are available on the KCF website, with further dates announced regularly.
For
more information and how to apply, visit the
KCF website.
Support for Young People from Buttle UK
National charity
Buttle UK is offering financial help for young people, age 16 to 20, that receive no support from their parents or guardians so that they can further their education or employment.
To apply, Buttle UK ask that the young person shows
they have a clear ambition or intentions in education, training, or employment that they are pursuing or intend to pursue within three months of the application.
Buttle UK can provide a
financial support package to meet this ambition, and help them to set up home, or to improve their emotional, mental, or physical wellbeing.
Each package of support (which could be
worth up to £2,000) can include:
- Equipment to take up a training opportunity
- Interview clothes
- A computer for their studies
- Travel costs to get to College
The charity advises the application must be completed by a support worker in collaboration with the young person.
At the time of writing there was no identified deadline, which means enquiries to apply for the Support Scheme could be made at any time.
For more
details and how to apply, visit the
charity’s website.
