Funding Round-up – General, May 2023

Here is another collection of recent local and national general funding announcements for the Voluntary Sector.

Due to the varying nature and progress of public policies and other related activity, MVA do advise that some of the information below may have changed since the time of its issue, and whilst every effort has been made to provide up-to-date details, they ask that readers please check with each organisation’s website for the latest news.

Turn2us Grants Search
The Turn2us Grants Search is a FREE TO USE database which contains details of over 3,000 charitable funds that give grants and other support
to individuals who may either:
  • Be in financial need and have welfare needs, or
  • Require help with the costs associated with education and training courses

Health & Social Welfare Funding from The Artemis Charitable Foundation
Grants available from the Artemis Charitable Foundation are designed to support UK-registered charities working in the UK and internationally in the areas of:
  • Health
  • Poverty
  • Education, and
  • The Environment.
The Foundation advises where they normally make one-off awards, they could consider multi-year grants when a successful partnership is established.

They also advise that the award amounts can increase if a successful partnership develops into a multi-year relationship, and that unrestricted funding could also be considered.

At the time of writing, there was no recognised deadline, suggesting this is a Continuous Rolling Programme and applications can be accepted at any time.

The Schroder Charity Trust
The Schroder Charity Trust awards grants to UK registered charities working in:
  • Arts, Culture and Heritage
  • Strengthening Communities
  • Environment and Conservation
  • Health and Wellbeing, and
  • Education, Training and Employment
The Trust says grants can be used to cover both core costs and specific project costs, but not large capital appeals.

At the time of writing there was no identified deadline, suggesting enquiries to apply for funding could be made at any time.

The Chelsea and Mr French Fund from the Kennel Club Charitable Trust
Grants from the Kennel Club Charitable Trust are available to local dog welfare and animal health charities working to support dog owners in the UK in times of personal struggle.

The aim of the fund is to provide respite and relief to vulnerable people who need temporary care for their dogs in times of crisis or struggle.

At the time of writing, there was no recognised deadline, suggesting this is a Continuous Rolling Programme and applications can be accepted at any time.
