Fundraiser Apprenticeship Programme from University of Kent, Summer 2024

The Centre for Philanthropy at the University of Kent are launching a course to help organisations gain skills and knowledge and raise financial and non-financial support for their charitable cause.

We all know that good fundraising costs money. We also know that any investment in fundraising will be paid back when donations start coming in.

But what can you do when you have limited budget (or none at all!) to cover the cost of training your fundraisers? How can you help them reach their potential and raise more much-needed income?

The Centre for Philanthropy at the University of Kent has a solution for you!

You can send your new recruits and junior fundraisers on a 13-month, 1 day-a-week distance learning programme – run by some of the top names in the field.

And best of all, it’s FREE (if your charity pays the apprenticeship levy) or at the most £400 (all-in) if you are not a levy-payer. There may be other options available should your charity not be able to afford the £400.

The Fundraiser Apprenticeship is a great option for organisations on a limited budget and applications to join the third cohort are open until the end of July 2024. The programme will start on 2 September 2024.

The teaching team have all worked as fundraisers themselves. In fact, they have literally ‘written the books’ on fundraising technique and strategy, being a fundraiser, plus other key topics such as ethics, equality and the future of fundraising.
