FREE Online Workshops to Support Male Body Image - Help Future Research by Taking Part

The University of the West of England are carrying out a study to help them learn how to better support men with body image and invite local men (aged 18+) to attend a FREE workshop to help with their research.

It is being found that body image worries in men are on the increase. These worries are said to be associated with distress, anxiety, lower quality of life as well as physical health problems.

To explore this, University of the West of England (UWE) is piloting a FREE 1-day workshop which is designed to help men who feel unhappy with their bodies.

Held as an on-line event throughout October and November 2023, the aim of the workshop is to reduce body dissatisfaction – the concern with weight, shape, or image - and disordered eating.

Attendees would then be asked about what they thought of the workshop to inform help support future programmes and research.

Are you a man who is worried about your weight, shape, or size? By attending this FREE workshop, participants can help shape how men are better supported with body image.

With the workshops planned for October and November 2023, attendees can choose from one of the following dates:
  • Saturday 21st October 2023
  • Saturday 4th November 2023 and
  • Saturday 18th November 2023
If you, or someone you know, may be suited or could benefit from this FREE event, you can find out more at the University’s dedicated portal for the workshop.
