Join Medway’s Exciting Journey to Becoming a Marmot Place

Marmot Places are places committed to reducing unfair health inequalities and helping everyone live a longer, healthier life. You’ll know that health isn’t just about doctors or genetics—it’s shaped by things like housing, jobs, education, clean air, and social connections.

Many of your service users will be people who don’t have access to these essential building blocks of health. Marmot Places work to change that by bringing together local leaders, groups and residents to address the root causes of ill health.

The Medway Marmot Partnership launched in April 2026 and right now we’re focusing on building tools to help partners spot opportunities and work together more, including an online map of services that help to tackle health inequalities.
