Don't Just Live Life, Make Life Boom! A New Podcast on Volunteering

Medway is set to see a surge of community spirit thanks to an exciting new partnership that aims to put the spotlight on the incredible work of volunteers. MVA has been joining forces with The Mic Drop Club podcast series, spearheaded by the Medway Mayoral Office, to launch a special takeover series that will amplify the voices of those making a difference in our local communities.

This groundbreaking collaboration, overseen by Medway Mayor Marian Nestorov, and hosted by the Deputy Mayor of Medway, Councillor Douglas Hamandishe in partnership with MVA, promises to motivate listeners to get involved and spark conversations that lead to meaningful local social action.

A Commitment to the Voluntary Sector

Medway Council has long recognised the vital role that volunteers play in enriching the lives of everyone in our communities. This partnership underscores their continued commitment to the sector, ensuring that the invaluable work of MVA and other community organisations is not only acknowledged but actively celebrated and supported.

More Than Just Helping: Volunteering is a Catalyst for Personal Growth

Volunteering isn’t just about helping others; it's about Making Life Boom for all! The message is clear: volunteering provides an opportunity for personal growth, a sense of fulfillment, and a chance to connect with like-minded individuals. Through this new series, listeners will discover how giving back to the community can be transformative on multiple levels.

Whether it’s dedicating an hour a week to MVA's Befriending Programme, offering a hand to someone feeling lonely, or participating in other local initiatives, your contribution can make a real difference. By volunteering, you can:

  • Gain new skills and experience: Volunteering provides hands-on experience that can enhance both your personal and professional life.
  • Improve your mental well-being: Fostering connections and creating positive change has a direct positive impact on mental health.
  • Empower your community: Volunteers are at the heart of community support, helping those who need it most.

This partnership is a call to action for everyone in Medway. It's an invitation to step up, volunteer, and become part of an incredible journey to uplift the community through the power of collective action.
