Medway Council's New Crisis & Resilience Fund & Other Support

About the Crisis and Resilience Fund

The Crisis and Resilience Fund aims to provide a safety net for people on low incomes when they face unexpected money problems, and help build local financial resilience so future crises are less likely.

Funded by the UK government, the fund is made up of 4 parts.

Crisis Payment Fund

Medway residents in a crisis can apply for support through our Crisis Payment scheme.

Crisis Payments aim to:

  • support low-income individuals who are experiencing budget and wellbeing pressure due to an unexpected expense or drop in income
  • prevent people from entering crisis by providing timely support to manage pressures and maintain control
  • prevent crisis from growing.
