MVA & Medway VCSEF Leaders Network 'Time to Talk' Event Success

Another amazing event from MVA, Gillingham Football Club & Medway VCSEF Leaders Network.

It was truly inspiring to see so many passionate people come together to explore local plans and their potential impact on the sector. The energy in the room was electric, filled with enthusiasm and a shared commitment to creating positive change.

Great viewpoints were shared, sparking meaningful conversations about how the sector can collaborate more effectively and act sooner to support community-driven initiatives. If you weren’t there, you missed a powerful opportunity to connect, contribute, and be part of the movement.

We heard plans from our four keynote speakers:

Toby Waters - Community Director at Gillingham Football Club
Scott Elliott -
Head of Health & Wellbeing at Medway Council - Medway Marmot Places Project Update.

Councillor Vince Maple - Leader of Medway Council - Local Government Re-organisation Plans.
Imogen Robertson -
Strategic Programmes Manager at Medway Council and on the "Medway Heritage Place" initiative

The event was aimed to equip VCSEF sector organisations and groups with the knowledge to understand proposed upcoming changes and how they might impact local organisations, the wider community, and to ask questions from those involved in rolling the plans out. It most certainly delivered.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet members of the Transformation Alumni' & 'Realising Your Potential' Leaders, and heard about how being part of the leaders network has benefited them.
