Funding Opportunities for Local Sports Programmes

CLOSING SOON - Application Deadline for this fund round closes on the 2nd of April.

This programme supports UK registered charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs that offer sporting activity or similar projects where they provide opportunities for people who are disabled or otherwise disadvantaged.

The programme aims to support people to fulfil their potential and to develop other personal and life skills

Trustees of the Peter Harrison Foundation welcome applications for projects that:

  • Provide a focus for skills development and confidence building through the medium of sport
  • Have a strong training and/or educational theme within the sporting activity
  • Provide sporting equipment or facilities for disabled or disadvantaged people
  • Have a high degree of community involvement, or
  • Help to engage children or young people at risk of crime, truancy or addiction

The Foundation advises that grants will often be “one off” for capital projects, however revenue funding is also considered for a new project or if funding would make sure of the continuing success or survival of an established project.
