Prevent and SOC Week of Action this November, Autumn 2023

In support of Adults Safeguarding Week this November 2023, the Kent and Medway Prevent Team will host a series of FREE events and activities to raise awareness of important Safeguarding topics.

Extremism and radicalisation in the community are real threats to society. Being aware of the signs is the first step.

By being vigilant, knowing what to report and reporting it, people can help to reduce the threat from terrorism, radicalisation and extremism.

Kent and Medway’s Prevent and Serious Organised Crime (SOC) Team are dedicated to safeguarding people of ALL ages from the risk of radicalisation, becoming involved in terrorism, supporting extremist ideologies and involvement in Serious Organised Crime.

As part of supporting Adults Safeguarding Week, they are hosting Prevent & SOC Week of Action to raise awareness of these important topics and invite everyone to join in their campaign.

With a packed week of FREE activities, workshops, guest speakers, with several partners supporting them; The Team say they have developed these sessions for specific audiences, including community groups, professionals, and educators.

The series of FREE events for the Kent and Medway Prevent and SOC Week of Action will take place from 20th to 24th November 2023.
