The King’s Fund - What is the Health and Care Bill and why does it matter, Winter 2022

Experts and observers from national charity The King’s Fund discuss the Government’s Health and Care Bill and its importance.

As the first major piece of NHS legislation since The Lansley Act in 2012, The UK Government’s Health and Care Bill mainly focuses on the NHS in England and looks to put into law the main elements of the Government’s Integration and Innovation white paper that was published in early 2021.

By examining what the Health and Care Bill ultimately looks to achieve and how it is going to make a difference to the care that patients will receive; experts and specialists from national charity The King’s Fund have published a Podcast exploring how the changes to the Bill would be put in place, as well as the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
