The Launch of the Medway Neuro Café by MNN, October 2023

The Medway Neurological Network (MNN) has recently launched another venue to join the growing number of settings for people who live with a neurological condition, as well as those who care for them.

The Medway Neurological Network (MNN) is a dedicated organisation that aims to support other neurological charities and similar support groups active in Medway.

They work to be the voice of, and be a single point of access for, those affected by neurological conditions in Medway; as well as defend and improve the quality of health and social care services available to those with neurological conditions.

The recent launch of the Neuro Café forms part of that work as a welcoming venue to provide support and reduce isolation for those who live with a neurological condition.

Supported by Involving Medway and Swale and Medway Council, the venue also offers support to those who care for people that live with a neurological condition.

The Café joins one of many welcoming locations and similar places for meet ups and engagement including:
  • Walter-Brice Centre - hosted monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, 10am to Noon
  • Jasper's at Rochester Community Hub – available weekly, 1pm to 3pm during term time; hosted by various neurological charities, and
  • St Augustine’s Place of Welcome (192, Rock Road, Gillingham, ME7 5PW) - Meets on 4th Wednesday of month, 9am to 11am, offering light refreshments and activities including crafts provided by Medway Adult Education. It also hosts the MNN stall
