To Improve Communities and Support local Businesses - The UKSPF Feasibility Fund, May 2023

Funding from Medway Council is available for charities to carry out studies that show the usefulness and ease of setting up projects which would help improve the local area.

The Feasibility Fund will provide monies for feasibility studies to support initial concept and business plan development and can also be seen as funding to help get project ideas off the ground.

This Fund forms part of Medway Council’s investment plan through The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) aimed at ‘improving communities and place and supporting local businesses.’

Following on from our previous report, this fund is aimed to help unlock projects capable of securing further public and private investment in the longer-term.

The Council advise the fund can be seen as an important way to support the development of projects and concepts that could bring about longer-term change much quicker for the community and local area.

The Feasibility Fund is intended to support projects that could deliver outcomes across The Council’s investment priorities for this year: ’Communities and Place’ and ‘Supporting Local Business’

Each of these funds is specifically designed to deliver on the ambitions and objectives set out in Medway Council’s regeneration strategy Medway 2037 and the UKSPF Investment Plan.

Launched recently, the deadline for applications is Monday 26th June 2023.
