Transformation Academy and Alliance

The transformation Academy and Alliance is now underway. The Transformation Academy have met twice so far since its inception and with a third meeting on 11th July 2022.

The Transformation Academy and Alliance is funded by the Lottery Community Fund, MVA secured the funding and are the secretariat to help other voluntary organisations to get together and lead the change for Medway VCS.

The global pandemic meant that organisations felt the need to not only collaborate but how to become more unified and resilient to any new challenges the sector face in Medway. The Transformation Academy is an inclusive group, with a cross section of large and small organisations with diversification of organisations who represent communities across Medway.

The Transformation Academy is a three-year project where the group themselves will decide the agenda and the actions to come out from it.

The Transformation Alliance is focused on sharing of resources between members, all VCS organisations have the same costs, HR, IT, Legal etc. and they are looking at sharing the costs and resources to ensure that more money can go towards more output of their organisations.

The Transformation Academy and Alliance area also supported by academics at Nottingham Trent University, through Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
