The course will look at stress from the point of view of a 1st Aid approach to stress. i.e. Recognise the condition by identifying the signs and symptoms, treat the condition using various items from a ?1st aid kit? of strategies & techniques and know when to seek further help Participants will be given an appreciation of the causes of stress and a clear understanding of the effects of stress on the body and mind. They will learn to identify stress & anxiety and the risks to health that they can cause. They will discuss various ways to tackle many of the problems and to take care of their mental and physical well-being. The course will help them to develop ways to deal with pressure more effectively and to treat the symptoms of stress. This should offer ways of improving working & personal relationships.
