Laundry Volunteers Wanted

Are you willing to wash clothing and bedding of people who are homeless and may be sleeping rough? Can you help people find new clothes from donated stock? This role requires the ability to be friendly but firm, and to work the washing machines and tumble dryers and manage to turn around the washing the same day. Friendly team working environment, but please note the laundry area does not have a window so could be claustrophobic.

  • Time commitment: Around 6–10 hours per month, including meetings and school visits.
  • Support provided: Full training and ongoing guidance.
  • Who can apply: Anyone over 18 with a passion for education and a willingness to learn.
