War Winning Engineering Project Digitisation Volunteer
To assist Museum staff with the “War Winning Engineering” project, made possible by money raised by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project will focus on cataloguing, conserving and digitising its collection of original plans and 3D models of Mulberry Harbour. The aim of the project is to increase public understanding of the innovation and creative problem solving essential to the Allied Victory in World War Two. This volunteer role will assist the Digital Collections Access Officer in capturing digital photographs and scans and to generate 3D models from photographs and other associated tasks that will form the basis for a temporary exhibition at the Museum, a changing online exhibition on our website, events, talks and social media content. Trustee (Volunteer)
Make a difference as a Trustee of the Asian Single Parents Network. Are you passionate about helping others, particularly single parents? Your contribution could make a real difference to our members. We are currently a social enterprise which is looking to convert to a charity, hence the need for trustees and the diversification of our board. The Asian Single Parents Network (ASPN) came to life in 2011, on the social networking site Meetup, and became a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) in late 2020. ASPN offers social, emotional and practical support in order to build confidence, prevent isolation and combat the stigma attached to being a single parent in South Asian families. It operates as a ˜not for profit' and acts in the best interests of its members. Separated, widowed, divorced, single by choice, living apart can all fit into the category of a single parent family. For the role profile and application get in touch at abansal@aspnetwork.org.uk Application deadline: Friday 21st March | Asian Single Parents Network CIC |
