The role of the volunteer would be to support the Community Development Worker who works with service children and families. This takes place within play and youth work sessions with children and young people. Engaging with families at weekly and annual events or projects that have been identified. The Health and Safety (H&S) Volunteer role is responsible for ensuring that the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society Ltd is compliant with all relevant aspects of the current Health and Safety legislation and the identification and mitigation of all potential hazards. Reading Helpers are adult volunteers living or working within a 5 mile radius of a school that has asked for our help. You need to commit to at least an afternoon a week for a whole year during term-time, and as we invest in your training we'd appreciate it if you could stay longer. The role isn't about listening to children read, but creating a relaxed session that allows children to work alongside you to discover the joy of books.

Medway Culture Club is seeking a volunteer to support with basic bookkeeping and financial administration. The role includes simple accounts, bank reconciliation, and liaising with the charity’s accountant.
