Immediate Support for local People and Households - The Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund from The National Lottery, Summer 2023

The National Lottery is delivering funding for organisations that support people and communities under severe pressure because of the increased cost of living.

Launched recently, the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund from The National Lottery Community Fund is designed to support organisations across England to deliver critical frontline services.

As announced in the 2023 Spring Budget, this funding forms part of the £100M for charities and is open exclusively to frontline organisations running critical services in communities.

The funding organisers advise the critical services offered should be in at least one of the following areas:
  • Food and Emergency supplies - food and other 'banks'
  • Emergency Shelter - homelessness services
  • Safe Spaces - domestic abuse services and youth services
  • Warmth - warm spaces/hubs, and
  • Financial and Housing advice
The organisers point out that applicants MUST be able to demonstrate both increased costs and increased demand; and the organisers say they have an interest in applications from small and medium-sized front-line organisations.

The deadline for applications is midday on 16th October 2023.
